TESTIMONIAL:

Serving as Co-Chair of the Bike Repair program has been one of my favorite volunteer experiences. I came in knowing very little about bike repair, but I have learned so much from the talented bike mechanics and volunteers on our team—and I still feel there is so much more to learn. There is something incredibly rewarding about taking a bike that is no longer usable, repairing it, and giving it a second life. It's even more meaningful knowing that the program supports Stanford's sustainability efforts by reducing waste, encouraging cycling, and providing students with affordable transportation. Just as rewarding are the friendships I've built and the opportunity to learn new skills while working alongside such a dedicated group of volunteers. This is an experience I'll always remember.

I joined SPC because I wanted to connect with other Stanford parents while contributing to a community that welcomes and supports families. Over time, volunteering has become much more than helping at events—it has allowed me to build lasting friendships, learn from incredible volunteers, and be part of a team working to make the Stanford experience even better for parents and students alike.
