Bay Area Socials & Tours
The Stanford Parents’ Club offers a variety of exciting Bay Area Socials & Tours, bringing together Stanford families for unique experiences on and around campus. From cheering on the Cardinal at our Big Game Tailgate and Watch Party to exploring campus landmarks like the Football Stadium, Red Barn, and Central Energy Facility, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy an afternoon of art at the Cantor Arts Center, discover the natural beauty of Jasper Ridge, or connect with fellow parents at our Apricot Jam Social and Appreciation Lunch. These are just a small sample of our events. Throughout the year, we offer many more opportunities to engage with the Stanford community, learn about campus, and build lasting friendships.

Big Game Tailgate
Parents had a great time at our capacity-filled 2023 Big Game Tailgate. The game marked the final Pac-12 matchup between Stanford and Cal.

Big Game Watch Party
When Big Game is at Cal, we have watch parties in private homes near Stanford.

Football Stadium Tour
The tour included access to the locker room, Sky Deck, VIP Box, and the field. We learned about the technology the team uses to anticipate plays and quicken their response.

Central Energy Tour
Docents led parents through a tour of the facility to learn how Stanford heats and cools the campus using water.

Red Barn Tour
Parents joined us for a potluck picnic lunch and horse show. We watched Stanford's Equestrian Team compete and also took a private tour of the Red Barn.

Jasper Ridge
Docent led tours focused on the natural history and ecology of the Stanford University field station, whose mission is research and education about natural systems.

Cantor Arts Center
The tour offered insight into the remarkable contemporary art works on display in the Anderson Family Collection. Cantor's expert docents guided us through the collection, offering in-depth knowledge and engaging anecdotes about the artists and their creations.

Apricot Jam Social
We have a wonderful Parents' Club tradition of making luscious apricot jam together. We sell it over the summer as a fundraiser. It makes a great gift! Jam Camp typically occurs in late June, when the apricots are ripest.

Appreciation Luncheon
Near the end of the academic year, we host an Appreciation Lunch to thank our wonderful volunteers and donors.
Welcome Class of 2028!
Stanford Parents' Club had the pleasure of welcoming new families with a series of special events. From a local welcome reception with Dean Shaw, to our Welcome Booth, a Cookies and Coffee Social, an International Families Welcome Reception, a memorable Dinner with the Provost, and a lively after-party, these gatherings fostered lasting connections for the Class of 2028.
