Michelle Marquez

BIO:

Michelle Marquez is a Stanford mom and big sister. Her daughter graduated in 2020, and her younger brother graduated from Stanford in '97. She is grateful to Stanford for providing accessible higher education to her family, and for all the work they do to make a difference in the world and in the community.  This is why she joined the SPC.  Some of her most memorable experiences have been helping out with Career Closet and seeing all the joy, confidence and empowerment the students walk away with.  She also really enjoys the jam making sessions and is sorry she missed it this year.

Michelle originally hails from Shouldham, a small village in England, and has been married for 34 years to Ed Marquez, who has also often volunteered alongside her, and spoken on the parent panel during several Admit Weekends.  They and their three adult children live in San Francisco, California.
