TESTIMONIAL:
My most memorable experience as an SPC volunteer was helping with the Career Closet program. As a parent, it was heartwarming to support students as they prepared for interviews, internships, and career opportunities. What impressed me most was the incredible generosity of Stanford families. Parents donated not only professional clothing, but also shoes, belts, ties, jewelry, handbags, and other accessories to help students feel confident and prepared. Seeing the community come together in such a meaningful way truly reflected the spirit of Stanford. It was inspiring to witness how a collective effort could make such a positive impact on students as they took important steps toward their future careers.
I joined the Stanford Parents’ Club because, as a parent of two Stanford students, I wanted my children to know that I would be happy and connected here. When I moved from Thailand to California, I did not want them to worry that I would be lonely or have difficulty adjusting to a new environment. I wanted them to focus on their studies and enjoy their Stanford experience, knowing that I had found a supportive community and wonderful friends of my own.
Joining SPC gave me exactly that. It allowed me to build meaningful friendships, connect with other families, and contribute to the Stanford community. It has been a rewarding experience, and I am grateful to be part of such a caring and welcoming group.
